I wonder if my temperature gauge is reading 5 degrees low.
It is expensive and challenging to try to calibrate the temperature
gauge.
It's trivial to set it, it's challenging to figure out the correct setting. A Scace device is the correct way:

But it's not cheap.
A thermometer in a styrofoam cup is another way, but not as good. There is also a temperature probe you can get that replaces the set screw on the front of the group.
