Good to know Ken regarding your water pressure. I have the reducer like you and also put an inline water pressure gauge. I'm not sure if you have that or not but no matter. I have not paid much attention to the gauge but will start to based on your note.
I too took the vaccum valve apart but mine still leaks. It doesn't leak much but enough that I'm trying to get it replaced. I'm in Canada so trying to get parts in Canada can be done but takes a bit longer than WLL. For now, the machine still works but the recovery time is a lot longer. Pulling one shot causes the brew temperature to drop quite a bit and then takes a while to get back up to 96 degrees.
