Er, you had said that there were Democrats who said that lying isn't
important.

I surely do recall that there were many who said that Bill Clinton's perjury
did not merit impeachment.  I'm one of 'em, despite the fact that I think it
is quite important to tell the truth.

But I think you're still stretching things by generalizing.  There are
undoubtedly other simple crimes of perjury that would merit impeachment.  I
doubt you'll find much of anyone in either party's leadership who takes
either extreme position (consistently, anyway).
