The cover-ups were far more than lies John. Instructions by
superiors to lie. Obstruction. Bribes. Conspiracy. Destruction
of evidence.

Because those involved are really _good_ at lying. Of all the
President's men, including the Sr. Bush, only George Shultz doesn't
come off stinking to high heaven. It doesn't matter if Reagan
didn't lie himself (though you are right, I have no doubt that he
did.) He was responsible for the actions of his subordinates.
What's more important to me is that the scope of the lies told by
the Republicans is so much greater than that of the lies Clinton
told in the Lewinski affair.
We've been over and over this, so I'm not going to belabor it any
more. Just so's you know that there are plenty of us out here that
think that the idea that Republicans consider honesty any more
important than anyone else, specifically Democrats, is beyond ludicrous.
