<<What exactly should that "somebody" do in order to make "Muslims
behave in a "civilized way"?>>

Ilana
<< Your guess is as good as mine. I can tell what we should not do - we
should not give it into their custody.>>

Jeroen
<<Giving or not giving custody to the Palestinians has nothing to do
with "making Muslims behave in a civilized way". These are two different
matters. You can not change the overall behavior of people by giving
them custody over a piece of land.>>

Ilana
I agree, but I meant "making Muslims behave in a civilized way on Temple
Mount". I am very glad that you understand that having it or not having
it will not influence their attitude to Israel.

Ilana
<< With Palestinian state more Israeli citizens will be killed, than
without it.>>

Jeroen
<<That is highly questionable. Those among the Palestinians who want to
see Israel destroyed will fight anyway, regardless of whether or not
there will be a Palestinian state.>>

Ilana
Borders closer to cities = more civilians killed when war will start.

Ilana
<< And while we are on subject of UN - I discovered some days ago, that
"refugee camp" is UN terminology - it's place run with UN help and under
it's observation. With UN help and under it's observation Jenin was
built into terrorist base. More reason for Israel to trust UN, don't
you think?>>

Jeroen
<<Can you prove that the UN actually *helped* with the building of a
terrorist base in Jenin? You cannot hold the UN responsible for
something others did. Saying "they build Jenin, there is now a terrorist
base there, so the UN helped build a terrorist base" is like saying
"someone broke into my house and stole my TV; the house was built by the
government, therefore the government is responsible for the burglary".>>

Ilana
They were there. They gave money. They saw that money does not go where
it supposed to go. <SHRUG>

Jeroen
<<I sincerely hope your sentiments are not the sentiments of the Israeli
population as a whole (or of the Israeli regime). Because if it is,
Israel is in big trouble: you are not capable of solving your problems
on your own, and you do not trust the international community to help
you solve your
problems.>>

Ilana
<SIGH>
UN helped to kidnap Israeli soldiers. UN does nothing to prevent
Hizballah from attacking our north border. UN helped, at least by
turning blind eye, to build terrorist base in Jenin. UN accused Israel
of unproper behavior in Beit Lehem when armed Palestinians were inside
church, shooting from it. Israel has more than enough reasons not to
trust "international community" and I hope next elections majority will
show that *this* is their opinion. I hope for transfer solution - other
possible solution is war and this time don't stop, don't go back and
don't take any prisoners.>>
