No Eric, Its because they are light hearted and care very little about very
many things. They dont carry arguments on for long, but then they cant carry
a serious conversation for long either.
OTOH they can carry on a silly conversation for days at a time.
The worst thing about Culture is that they are very London centric and there
are many threads about who is doing what this weekend, and "where shall we
go after meeting at the Pub on friday" which on one hand is quite boring for
me (speaking personally here), but it is quite admirable in that they have a
real world comraderie (even when they disagree) that is not available to us
on Brin-L.

I really and truly believe that if we had opportunity to be meatspace
friends like we are e-space friends, much of the unpleasantness we have
committed upon each other would never have happened.
I admit I could be wrong about this, but it does seem to be a great
advantage to the Culture crew.
The only evidence I have to support this clain for Brin-L is that the people
who have invited me to visit (if the chance arises) are the people I seem to
hold the greatest affection for. But I admit it is a personal belief.
