Now that's uncalled for..... the Bush Administration didn't have to go to NATO to invoke Article 5 - we did it because we wanted our allies involved. The same thing is true about going to our Latin American aliles and invoking the Rio Treaty. The same thing is true about finding ways to invite many of our allies to send specal forces to the War in Afghanistan. BTW - You should read the "National Security Policy" document that was recently released. It actually is notable for the praise it heaps on some of our allies - in particular, Australia seems to get a very sizable amount of notice and respect.
