Hello Everyone,
Since introductions are on their way, I would like to introduce myself. I
am Rishabh Sharma, a computer science undergraduate student from BITS
Pilani, Pilani Campus, India. I am familiar with C++, OpenGL, Java,
Javascript and have worked a lot on modelling and animation softwares
(maya, blender).
I want to be a part of the open source community and I feel BRL-CAD fits
the best to my interests.
I hope I get a chance to contribute to the organisation and I am very
excited about it.
I have been following the mailing list for some time now and I have some
doubts about the Online Geometry Viewer.
1. In my experience, rendering polygonal models has been faster and less
painstaking then NURBS, and they also provide better local controls for
editing the models. Since the OGV takes .obj files as input, shouldn't
there be an option for editing polygonal models as well?
2. With my experience with Node, I believe it is better to implement OGV
with Node.js instead of sticking with PHP for the future. What are your
views on it?
Thank You
