Go right ahead!  I'm really interested in seeing the i18n patches
merged into CVS. :)

Another idea is blocklist compression techniques, which would allow
for a larger stage2 (i.e. if we have blocks 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 in the
list, just make a special entry for 1-8).
