My personal preference now leans towards ``neither.''  I think that it
would be good to make a blocklist_stage1_5, which would have support
for BIOS disk extensions, contain a longer block list data area, and
load the stage2 itself.

That way we don't need to modify the stage1 or stage2, just the
install procedure.

Please ignore my earlier comments.  Also, feel free to make your own
judgement: the above is just my opinion.
