Hi Andrew,

Here are my comments and questions.

Purpose section, last sentence, "...allow a client to install
from a server while still being able to setup each instance with unique settings".
What does this sentence mean? What kind of unique settings can
a client setup?

Requirements section, 2nd bullet, what client side interfaces? AI client
side or the text installer interfaces?

Requirements section, 3rd bullet, "a default DC manifest" for building what
type of images?

Requirements section, 6th bullet, do you mean for 1 single image to
be used for AI and text installer installation?

Solution, overview section. It would good to describe the overall
results you want to achieve in this project. Then, talk about what changes
are needed to create those results.

Solution, Server, paragraph 1: It is not clear to me whether you
are modifying the existing
AI manifest so that it supports both AI and text installer. Or you are
providing a brand new manifest that will create an image suitable for
both AI and network text install. What about the existing
media-based text installer image, is it going to be modified to
support network installer or will it stay the same. Please discuss
provide more detail about what happens to all the existing images.

Solution, Server, paragraph 2: Will the text installer be the new default
option in the grub menu? Or will it not be? Please discuss.

Solution, client section, 3rd paragraph, the overview section says only
DC and installadm will be modified. Here, you are talking about modifying
the text installer. Which text installer part of the code are you modifying?

Solution, client section, 4th paragraph, ".... happen at the same time we switch services."
Can you be specific about exactly which script
are you modifying to do this?

Thanks,

--Karen

Thank you,
