We would imagine that there is but couldn't come up with one. We were
thinking that we would have to change the script to require an extra
argument specifying whether the installed system had graphics or not.


This is actually a general problem in the ICT design - it attempts to infer its actions based on artifacts in the image rather than from direct instruction by the calling program, which of course knows what type of installation is being done. It may be beyond the scope of what you can do in the time allotted, but if possible it would be good to pass an arg to install-finish instead.
