Let's qualify this a bit. There are a number
of university professors who are having quite
a bit of success using XP in CS projects.
Students that haven't been heavily exposed
to "standard" methodologies don't have anything
to unlearn. However, what they're getting is
students that actually complete projects,
not projects that are very good. Turning
out good work requires experiance, and
that's what students don't have.

However, it's going to take time to learn
the basic software development techniques:
TDD especially will take several weeks for
the average developer to "get it." Once
he's gotten it, he's usually not going to
go back, but there is a learning curve.

So ten developers that are self-motivated
to learn XP, ***and*** that have a good
appreciation that there is a significant
learning curve to climb could well do it.
But the likelyhood of finding those ten
is pretty low.
