Do you think that is even very difficult to get a group of 10 inexperienced
programmers to learn XP and get used to the practices like TDD and pair programming?.
And also, do you think is good to start this challenge with a course on XP and a pilot
project?

You'll find 3 camps:
1) No!!!!
2) We don't know how to yet/We're not sure/We need more experience.
3) Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.
You'll find #1 is very vocal about their beliefs, #2 is less vocal,
and #3 keeps their mouth shut.
If you want to tackle a large project, you immediately have one
really big problem: hiring. If you can find 20+ unemployed agile
interested programmers (including those willing to relocate) who have
the skillsets you need, let me know. If you know a good way to get
large groups of inexperienced XP programmers to learn XP and learn
large group communication, please let me know. Just getting used to
pairing and test first is a challenge. Getting 20+ people used to
doing it is something I'm just not sure how to do.
In addition, there's a question of "Just how many cards can be
released in a single iteration before the customer goes crazy". It
can get overwhelming very quickly. If the product changes faster than
the customer can absorb, you're probably going too fast.
