End - Marlow on Thames
Last night was not as restful as it might have been, Luckily we went to
bed quite early but were awaken at 1-30 by fireworks which Magic hates,
then at about 3 the lads on the boat behind came back and they were
laughing and joking until gone 4 am this was followed by joggers or
walkers around 6 am.
We set off in the drizzle at 9-30 with very little wind, we met more
cruisers than we have all week, a whole lock full. As the day progressed
the drizzle turned to rain and the wind increased in pace. As we
approached Marlow we spotted a couple of 24 hour moorings and pulled in
for lunch. The rain continued and the wind got stronger so we decided
that at 1330 we would call it a day and stay here overnight.
So much for the red sky at night last night.
