I'm beginning to believe that visitor moorings away from 'honeypot
sites' no longer exist. Many times when we attempted to moor 'in the
middle of nowhere' along the 4 counties ring this year, we were thwarted
by the lack of dredging.
It appears that BW want to force us to moor only where they dredge,
whether that suits us or not.

I thought that would happen when BW very nicely asked if we would say where
we wanted moorings. People rushed to state their favourite place and BW
obligingly put in rings. My reply was that we would like to moor against the
towpath but mine was a lone voice.
