This warning applies only to Orange PAYG customers using the 1GBP for 24
hours GPRS service.

The Orange network has a problem and it has tagged 11000 UK customer
SIMS as being roamed onto their network instead of being at 'home' on
their network. This error means that the 1GBP GPRS deal will not apply
to the effected SIMS. The only way this will become apparent is when you
establish a 1GBP GPRS session and then get kicked off the system when
your credit available on your SIM runs out.

If you use this service, the only way of checking whether you are
effected is to follow these steps.

1. Check your credit balance before signing up for the 1GBP 24hr session
as you usually do.
2. Make a quick email check and then close the session down.
3. Check your credit balance again. If you have been debited 1 GBP you
are not affected. If you credit has reduced by 4 GBP then ring Orange
customer services as soon as possible and complain.

Orange are aware of the problem and have stated it would be fixed ASAP
but 5 days have gone by now with no fix yet. Once you have complained,
they should re-credit you with the money you have lost once the problem
is fixed.

Consequently, this could be the reason if you are expecting, but not
seeing, postings from some prominent list members out there at present.
