Sorry you're stuck Terry, but what a nice part of the world to be stuck in!
I realised that it was 33 years since I got to York and Ripon by water, for
the 75 National! In those days you had to walk into Ripon of course as the
last two locks were still derelict

Enjoy York for a day or so anyway
