So the Naburn Lock that is still "operational" is the small left hand, weir 
side (as you head upstream)?

ps...if you were *really* bored, you could go back upstream and do the River 
Swale...you will get a good way above Myton Bridge.
Glad the IWA organised operation of Foss / Castle Mill Lock went OK...when 
we last did it, it cost an arm and a leg, also the Council employees broke 
it. (did not loosen the "closing" capstan, so broke shackle on closing 
chain..chain flew of and just missed flailing the front of N Bear Nest)
Who came out, was one of the operators John Reeve?...(Middlesboro' accent)
