Date - 25 /07/08 Day - Friday Start - 0920 End - 1700 Ashton Lock We set off in bright sunshine with the day getting hotter as we progressed. Our time at locks was not the best in the world as we managed to ether meet boats about to leave the lock coming down towards us or after we had travelled about 50 yard after resetting the lock. On this waterway you have to leave the locks empty with the guillotine bottom gate open regardless of which way you are going. The weather remained nice all day and we moored for the night at 5pm. just above Ashton Lock near Oundle
