Harnser's position over past 3 days http://tinyurl.com/Harnser-3-day

Last night we got into conversation with a rather unsavory gent, he
looked and sounded completely decent with his young son with him when he
first stop to talk to us, but he was soon openly boasting about his
unlawful way of life selling diesel on the black market, i.e. selling
stolen diesel to new age travellers and could see nothing wrong with it.
After he had gone we both wondered what his son would grow up like and
that we wouldn't really like to leave the boat unattended when he was
about, he said he lived in Corby.
We set off this morning just before 9am on another hot day. We met one
or two boats in the course of the day, but it was very quiet for a sunny
Saturday. As we passed boat clubs the members seemed happy to sit around
their moored boats rather than go anywhere. We carried on up stream to
Denford where we had Sunday lunch on our way down 3 weeks ago. Once
moored we walk to the pub to ensure they are doing food tonight and book
a table, we also checked the beer hadn't gone off of course. Returning
to the boat Magic enjoyed a few swims at the old ford. Back onboard a
small cruiser came by towing a narrowboat who had lost his prop, they
asked if they could come alongside as the outboard was overheating. The
end result is the narrowboat is still here and I will tow them to
Ringsted lock in the morning, its only about 3 miles. I then set to and
gave the engine an oil change. Later in the afternoon there was quite a
bit of traffic heading down the river.
