JA It does not need to change its character as that is one of its main
strengths.

NN And how do you think can these be implemented?

Come on, you are among the first/oldest developers. You surely must have read the past threads.

JA Just imagine a web server with only one server, no load balancers, no
server farm, for how long do you think that the served site can
continue to grow.

NN D'accord, d'accord, but the web server can be set up correctly by almost any admin, ... ... So the role of the "single web server" cannot be shared for lack of suitable people.

Take your "almost any admin" and make him develop the web server
software, the operating system, giving users technical assistance,
writing the site contents (or, in other words, the "one-man-band" role that everybody seems to like Elpidio to play).
In that case, do you still think that "almost any admin" would be able to do it?

So what can we do?
When a problem is large and complex, we start by decomposing it into a series of smaller, simpler and more easily solvable problems.

It is just that having a good idea and beautifully coding it, is not
quite the same as coordinating a fast growing open source project.

So whom do you propose for giving a try in this role?

Elpidio, of course! But he should not do almost anything else! Either you whistle, or you sing but you can do both at the same time.

So this is an example which has grown historically. But the Care2x people are just different people.

Are they?

And maybe they walk into a similar direction - and maybe they don't.

Well... yes.

IMHO you cannot predict this.

No I can not. But I can make an educated guess based on the assumption that success or failure factors that were present in other OSS projects and that are also present in the care2x project, could also influence the success or failure of the care2x project in the same way as they did in the other OSS projects.

And, please do take a look at the second part of this posting:

You may not agree with the methodology, but do you see clearer now?

Best regards,
