You can actual raise the main without being dead into the wind. After I raise the main, I simply pull and set the E-Z Jack lines that I led to the cockpit and I am ready to drop the main into the E-Z Jack cradle. Andy Slow"MO"tion T/R, #6038, Nyack, NY
