I Think your idea is .....ummmm... SLICK !

Seriously,  Do you know that you can just Glue the puck to the hull?
I've tried both Silicone and Epoxy..    Both work fine..  I liked Epoxy because 
it was less likely to have Bubbles in it.
I didn't do the Pipe and Oil thing because I thought it would be too messy.. 

Personal note:
Have you "Healed" from the SWIFTSURE bruises ?
