these people are

I'm doing some work for a nonprofit (but for better money, thank goodness)
and have
also had considerable problems.
First, be direct with them. Prove to them that the other developer makes
that much money.
Then make an appointment to talk with the Executuve Director for about a
week after
you're sure they understand what the comparitive wages are.
At the meeting ask the ED to solve the problem.
This organization does great work that I believe

In the end, they will never pay you as much as you can make somewhere else.
