I would suggest two things.
First make be honest with your boss - tell him/her what you like about the position,
what you don't like and give some constructive suggestions for change. You may find it
easier to do this in
a letter followed by a discussion as then you can get your thoughts in order. Be
prepared to hear back critisms of what you do too - it sounds like there may not have
been too communication
either way in your office. ;-)
Secondly make sure you have saving or a backup job (for example with the other CF
developer) so that you feel in a strong position going into the meeting and so can
express your views more
clearly.
All this is probably a bit frightening - what I have found is that facing fears is
better than hiding from them - good luck!
