Jumping in a little late here. Before you have your meeting, you need to
think about what you want. More money? More control? Better hours? etc.
Non-profits have a lot to offer an employee. Money is not usually part of
the package though. But perhaps there are other things they can do to
sweeten the deal.

I would be firm on setting your limits. All successful non-profits have
the ability to get more than their money's worth out of almost anyone. You
have to be clear about what you're willing to do for the money they're
giving. If they can't give you a raise, maybe they can cut your hours
(allowing you to freelance.) Or if you take on raising revenue, you should
be rewarded with commissions, if you're so inclined. Be creative.

As for the control issue, announcing go-live dates without notifying you is
just plain rude, and they should know that. If you're in charge of the
websites, you should be involved in any of those decisions. If they aren't
willing to include you, then you can't be held responsible for the results.
 Again, be clear.

In this market, there is nothing wrong with negotiating a better deal. And
before you jump on the 85K job, make sure that the entire package is
something you want. Nothing worse then growing into a salary and hating
the job that goes along with it.
