Oh good grief..this whole Steam thing seems to have a VERY limited audience. I certainly wouldn't want to purchase all my games through this!
http://tinyurl.com/5q25x Those are all the hoops you need to jump through to get any game downloaded through steam to work 'offline'. It also won't work if you are going through Internet Connection sharing. I'm installing it now just to see what all the buzz is about :) Also, Gamespot has a review of HL2 out. Although they give the game a 9.2, it seems there wasn't very much that made them go WOW beside the graphics, physics etc. , the actual Source Engine. The gameplay seems to have left them underwhelmed. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halflife2/review.html?q=1&tag=gs_hp_flashtop_story The IGN review let's you really feel the excitement of the reviewer. Somehow it doesn't feel as unbiased though ;-) They gave it a 9.7 and it seems the reviewer was blown away by the game. http://pc.ign.com/articles/566/566202p1.html Oh..and I just checked..the steam client seems to have crashed on the Preloading HL2 screen. *chuckle* I think some people are going to be cursing loudly when everyone tries to activate at once. -Gel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:136055 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
