>whats the back up option?? >can i burn it now to a cd? Honestly I've not used it - I just Ghost my whole drive so it's in there. But when you're in Steam you can right click a game and choose "Backup" which, I believe, let's you burn just that gaems files to disc.
You can also just cut out the middle man and copy the actual Steam cache files to disc. They're all clearly labled and aside from the size (something like HL2 will require either one DVD or 5 cds) aren't anything special. When you want to rebuild or move them to another computer just disconnect Steam, move the backup files into the cache folder and then connect Steam.
