Our company uses custom IBM laptops. I think they are pretty solid
machines. I don't know the cost on them but I would imagine its well
under your budget(could afford better than mine I am sure). It is
based on the R51 model and I am able to run CF server and SQL server
locally with little problem...its a little slow on start but after
that its nice. Eclipse could load a little faster but it is a good
enough machine.
