Not by my definition: eu�tha�na�sia n. 1. The act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment.
2. A quiet, painless death. That's the one thing that I really thought was ironic about our society. On one hand you have laws against euthanasia so you can't give Terri Schiavo what would likely be a quick and painless death. On the other you have laws allowing for the cessation of her life. I think that if it were determined that her physical life be ended (in all likelyhood she was dead, mentally) then she should have been euthanized. Criminals get better deaths than she did...
