AS I understand it this was done anyway. And yes, it was an
overreaction. The whole THING was an overreaction.

all to accomodate this one little brat

we don't know any of this -- you're projecting.

Kids do act this way. Some more than others.

Where's the outrage

For what exactly? Sending their child to school?

Where's the sympathy for the other children who have to
> witness this?

I have plenty, personally. Though I don't think we are talking about
the same thing. Most children have seen another child throw a tantrum.
It isn't every child who has seen an adult abdicate responsibility for
a situation like this, and that're pretty scary. If the inmates are
running the asylum, anything can happen.

I don't care if the teachers thought calling the cops and
> handcuffing this kid was the quickest and easiest way to remove this child

Why? they aren't even in the building. Somebody cared enough about
that child to put her hair in corn-rows and dress her in a pretty
dress. I'm not convince you can make the case that poor impulse
control in a five year old equals poor parenting.

 I refuse to try

If you are going to mainstream problem children. and this is the case
whether this particular kid is a problem kid or not, then they
*should* be trained to deal with thse things. Jim apparently was...

I am not sure it is even discipline that was called for. De-escalation
would have been nice.
