If you have access to the fusebox switch out the breaker. Find out what brand of box you have and then go to Home depot or Lowes, they carry different brands and you need to find the one that fits. The 220 circuit usually takes two breaker spots, just leave one empty and put in a 110. The existing wire should be fine, then switch out the plug. Or call an electrician.
