Did you read the dictionary definition? I don't think whatever specialized industry definitions which might be known to pharmacists with years of higher-education can be considered generaly accepted definitions. > Caffeine and nicotine are both drugs, no argument > there, however listening to music can have a > measurable effect on mental state and that does > not make it a drug. Because music isn't a chemical... So... you're backing up your argument with something that's completely irrelevant. >> If on the other hand you're simply hoping to >> get agreement with your own personal opinions >> about the evils of alcohol by using the cheap >> tactic of associating it with a denigrated >> word then I'd recommend you keep it to yourself. > I'm sorry, remind me when I stated alcohol was > evil? The phrase "drug free workplace" is well known and I would guess, well known to disclude alcohol as there are no pre-employment drug-screens for alcohol. I did however predicate the statement with "if". Not bad examples by the way. You still have yet to provide a concise or generally accepted definition for the word "drug" which includes alcohol yet discludes sugar or chocolate. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Studio MX from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=50 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:168562 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
