I would not recommend purchasing a Mac now, not when the Mac-Intel machines are to be relased soon.If the motivation is just 'to get' a MAC to see how the OS performs and the machine handles various tasks, then I would definitely wait. The only way I would purchase a MAC now is if it was very necessary for work purposes.
