I run both, but my goto machine for daily chores is my 12" iBook. I
got it new for $700 and the thing rocks since I can bring anywhere -
it's super small, has plenty of resolution, and it plenty powerful for
MS office, email, basic dev tasks, etc.

I've tried all of the PDAs, the big laptops, the big desktops, etc,
but this little Mac goes everywhere with me and works flawlessly.

I don't do the hardcore coding some of you do anymore (I'm more Proj
Mgt I guess), so maybe I've got a different perspective though.

As to Kevin's point regarding VMing, he's mostly right although I've
got a G5 that I still run lots of OS 9 apps on (test env), but I went
through the same stuff he's talking about. That being said, if my
12" iBook dies today, I'd buy another (or a powerbook) that day.

I get my gear from MacMall.com, but next time I'm in the market maybe
I'll hit up Tango's friend :)
