So people in towns like Flint, MI and others hurt by steel auto industries
closings are just too lazy to get on the Internet?

There are, you say, lots of jobs out there for unemployed sheet cutters and
assembly line managers?

And, apparently all its people getting on the net and finding jobs "anywhere
in the world" has no effect on a town at all?

Big companies always have and always will have tremendous power over the
communities in which they set up shop.  I'm not going to argue that unions
are the best (or worst) solution to that issue, but it is an issue today
just as it was 80 years ago.
