Michael, I am saying that I don't believe a word I am told anymore, especially when the jist of it is that a third party is less than human. I think I have said many times already, but I will say it again:
I deplore the death, mutilation of ANYONE but most especially the murder of innocent people. Of course! What the hell, why do I have to say that again? I just don't think that anyone gets up in the morning and says you know what? I am going to go blow myself and a few other people. There is a context, however twisted, however much they have been lied to. How do you get to the point where it seems like a good idea to do that? I don't know but I sincerely doubt it's pure orneriness. That there is religious corruption is almost certain, that these kids are being used a near certainty. Hating them won't solve that though. Personally, I don't know that we, meaning you and I, *can* solve that... Meanwhile, we are being lied to, we have a government that specializes in making us hate each other, we are being used, do you really think we aren't? The only difference is we are doing our killing over there. That's all I am trying to say. If we get up on our white charger and turn this into some sort of crusade to make the world a better place by ridding ourselves of these "subhumans", we will only bleed more, because it will validate their view of us. That is ALL I am saying. And that is exactly the way I think this is going. I realize that you approve. Again, I don't think you and I will agree, because even with a 'most' not an 'all', I don't agree with your statements. They kill. We kill. It is all tragic. It's been going on in Ireland for centuries and they are still not really over it. I hope we can solve this one sooner, but I am not optimistic. The only thing I know is that you don't solve these situations by killing more people. If you think the above means that I am excusing violence, then I don't know what to say to you, my friend.
