Because many, if not most laws, still serve a public good. Laws are just public policy, and like all policy, they need periodic review to determine if they are still relevant. In this case, the immigration law is actually harming the American public by inhibiting our economy - both on the low side AND the high side. Our whole immigration policy needs to be revamped and that policy includes laws. Would you criticize Southerners that freed or harbored runaway slaves simply because that was against the law? Sometimes laws don't make sense because they are part of an antiquated policy. This is one of those cases. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:201786 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
