>wait a minute.. why can't you take it off a schedule c? Uh....because that's not the law. It's not considered a business expense if you are self-employed. It's a deducted expense *after* you figure your schedule C, so you end up paying the self-employment tax on it.
There is though a bill that I believed has passed in the Senate to correct the disparity. Nase.org has a nice "advocacy" center where you can look up current congressional bills that effect self-employed and small business and see how they are doing. --- Mary Jo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:225669 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
