I think there is a level of both. I think our genetics makes certain paths
easier to take than others. However at the same time I think that if a
parent is unable to say no, then it will create issues down the road.

I also think there are varied degrees. You basically make it like there is a
black and white, either you are good an normal, or you are evil and useless.

I think you can show how a lack of parenting can cause kids to not learn how
to behave until later in life. Child care is usually considered just that.
Care, a baby sitter, make sure they are alive and busy, and not doing things
they shouldn't be. But it doesn't teach the why part. Why shouldn't I hit
Billy?
