Good luck Charlie!

I brought up the Master Cleanse diet. My wife and I did it over the holidays
and it worked well for us.

On the liquids issue, if you do all of the optional things, it can be a
little icky. The things that are tough:

- 32 oz hot salt water drink in the morning
   - Tastes almost like chicken broth from a can - all sodium.
   - Tough to drink that much hot water first thing.
   - Helps keep things moving when you are not eating solid food - very
effective.

- The fiber drink - Psyllium husks in water
   - This stuff is optional but recommended for the first week to help clean
out your insides.
   - Totally, totally gross, but also very effective. Recommended for best
colon cleansing effect.

The tea and the actual lemonade drinks are yummy- especially after a few
days with no solid food.

On the issue of feeling dizzy, etc., the only issue I had was my hamstrings
feeling very tight and sore on the second night. After that I was fine.
Never felt hungry, never felt tired.

On the food thing after the diet is over, it actually takes a couple of
weeks for you to get your full appetite back- at least that was my
experience. Not having food makes you not need it, and not needing it makes
you not really want it. If you go right back to eating your old diet, even
without being hungry, then yes, you will gain weight back right away.
