it supposedly removes built up toxins and cleanses out the system.
the main purpose of the cayenne pepper is that it scrapes the

bear in mind i'm not buying into this as a cure-all for everything
that ails you.  but i have to assume that as i'm putting only a
handful of (pure) ingredients into my body every day that there has to
be some level of cleansing/detoxification going on in addition to the
weight loss.
