But you expect the federal gov't to be able to do those things? To give a storybook coda? Give me a break. Social Security is already in deficit. There is no lock box. There is no trust fund. It isn't there. Medicaid/Medicare is in the deficit. Doctors and health care providers are dropping out of the program at an alarming rate. The new health care deform act has added dozens if not hundreds of layers of bureaucracy to the health care. Yet for some reason, it unreasonable to think that families cannot take care of their own. The people cannot chip in to help others. J - The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
