the problem with charity(ies) is that they well.. rely on charity and that seems to be in short supply in the US. I wish the world could be as perfect and kind as you seem to think that it is, but the reality is that it's not. Very few people give to charity and by extension of themselves out of the goodness of their heart, it's done as a tax write off with a "what's in it for me" mentality..
Lord knows I'll try to teach my daughter better than that, but it's not going to be easy..
