"Bull shit, hate and offense are exactly the things we need to protect the most
under the 1st."

Amen.

"What is it you guys don't seem to get about free speech?"

That free speech should include opinions different from their own.

"It's not about protecting popular speech. It's about protecting dissent, the
small voice."

Preach it.

"Often that will include things that we find offensive and hateful."

I would argue that the majority of things uttered will be found offensive
by somebody somewhere.

There is a slope our country is sliding down right now. It's this movement
that people have the right to not be offended. This is dangerous to freedom
in all aspects.

"We cannot allow mob rule or we've lost already."

Amen. Once again, the Founding Fathers abhorred mob rule.

I don't think the Democratic leadership believes in democracy though (or
mob rule). More like rule by the elites.

I love the contradiction in name with the Democratic Party and reality. By
definition, the democratic party should accept popular opinion and over and
over again they ignore it. So, the Democratic Party leadership is not
practicing democracy. It is practicing bullying of its opponents and
intolerance of ideas contradictory to its own notations. The leadership
even does it to its own party members.

A great example of this (and voter fraud) comes from the DNC:
