Are you sure?  We just had a national referendum on public policy in the
form of an election.  You might wanna consider how that turned out before
you put the fate of the Constitution in the hands of that same electorate.

Here is a prediction for you.  The current administration and Congress are
not going to propose any laws that bans or confiscates all guns or all
ammunition.  They will propose stricter background checks and a ban on
large capacity magazines. They might introduce legislation calling for a
ban on so-called assault weapons.  Very doubtful it would pass the House.

  If you want a fight, get on the team that makes sure the background
checks don't violate either the 2nd, 4th, or 5th amendment.  Put your
energy where it can do some good.
