Like Beth did earlier, you are lumping all faith based organizations into the same
basket. Most faith based organizations I know of do not limit the support you can
recieve based upon your identity. Your statement was insulting to me as a member of
one of those groups.

The groups I have worked with do not have rules that you must change anything to get
help. An example are the local homeless shelters that are run by faith based
organizations only ask that the residents not use alocohol and drugs on the property
because there are also substance abuse programs on the property. They also ask that
civil laws be followed on the residents.

As for social funding being withdrawn, I just don't think it should be supplied by the
federal government.

Also, the scandals breaking around the world about the Catholic clergy is the result
of the actions of less than 2 percent of the clergy. I don't think the other 98% of
the clergy should be painted with the same brush.

Please give me an example of independant oversight in the current social programs here
in the US.
