I don't mind planning meetings as much as I do status meetings.
Spending too much time discussing status instead of actually doing the
work really annoys me. I have a couple of corporate clients that will
hold to meetings for the sole purpose of planning another meeting.

I am very systematic and methodical programmer, and I can usually
produce a status report in about 30 seconds. Sitting in a room full
of people who cannot do the same, and who stumble through the entire
reporting process makes me want to pull out my hair.
