I think it's the magistrates responsibility to determine if someone is
a threat to the community. They did release him to his friend, but
manslaughter, vehicular homocide, and agravated assault are pretty
harsh charges.
I think the NJ prosecutors must have way too much time on their hands, or
this guy didn't get a good lawyer early in the game. The whole
situation seems kind of outlandish. I start to see ulterior motives
when stuff like this happens.
